Parliamo La Lingua L’Italiana

Ciao, Amici! I will share some Italian words and phrases to you, in case you’ll need it during your stay in Italy.

Italian language is considered as one of the romantic languages in the world since it is very close to French, Spanish and Latin.

Déjà vu

I see a flock of pigeons in the sky.
The sound of the church bell reminds me of the time.
The red buses are everywhere.
The subway scenario. The Vespa motorcycles.
 The cafeterias. The ruins.
And everyone’s eating gelato even it’s freezing outside.
This place is familiar.

“If you toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain,
you will ensure a return trip to Rome.”

It was summer 2012.
I got my passport stamped.
I tossed a coin. And threw my wish.

After a couple of months, I am back for real.
And I just fell in love with the city. Again.

From Michelangelo to Da Vinci, ancient to modern, painting to graffiti,
pasta to pizza, olive oil to balsamic vinegar, cappuccino to croissant,
The Eternal City never fails to take my breath away.

Si, I always feel at home when I'm in Rome.

Day 352: Seoul Searching

“Ladies and gentlemen, we have finally arrived at Incheon International Airport. Thank you for flying with us.”

Woahhhh. It’s been exactly six months since I had my connecting flight here yet it only feels like yesterday. It’s crazy and unreal how time flies.

It’s absolutely freezing in Seoul today at -3ºC and here’s to another long hours of waiting! But, why just sit down during layover when I can utilize the time roaming around.

What to see?

Incheon International Airport is not just an airport. It is beyond expectation. Incheon has been named as the world’s best airport for eight consecutive years by The American Travel Magazine. You can have a glimpse of their culture at the museum inside the airport.

What to eat?

You cannot leave this city without trying their food. I had to exchange some money for Korean Won to experience the famous Korean spicy noodles. My mouth was burning and I was literally crying because I just had the hottest and spiciest noodles ever. With the cold weather, it was perfect.

What to do?

The airport has a golf course, movie theater, casino, and duty- free shopping centers. You can also enjoy the fast and free WiFi everywhere.

Indeed, Seoul got Soul!

Some Nights.

Some nights...

I wish I could teleport.

Some nights...

I wish I could escape.

Some nights...

I wish there were no borders in the world.

Some nights, I wish I was lost in India, I would search the streets all day just to find their famous recipes. I will do whatever it takes just to explore the land in search for their top spices.  I would also love to cross the Indian Ocean to reach the paradise of Maldives. The white sand and the crystal clear water will help me feel the serenity of the island.

Some nights, I fancy a trip to France. The idea of walking around the Piazzas, just to watch the world go by. Explore the city of Paris and have my selfie taken at the back of the Eiffel tower. Isn’t cute that you’re almost speaking in cursive just trying to speak their language. C’est la vie!

Some nights, I love to wake up in Dubai. Boost my adrenaline rush so badly and try sky diving at the tallest skyscraper in the world. I’d enjoy screaming my lungs out and the view of the magnificent cityscape above feet high.

Some nights, I wish I was in Amsterdam to get high. No, actually it’s not what you think. I am not talking about their special ‘delicacies’. But, to test my tolerance level in alcoholic drinks. They got the best draft beers ever, said the man who can’t be moved. Amsterdamnnn! How I wish I could own a keg and fill it with the best beer ever.

Some nights, I wish I could go back in time to check out ‘The Boot’. Pizza, pasta, gelato and wine are great combinations and nothing beats the authentic Italian dish. Your dolce vita (sweet life) will start here.

Some nights, I wish I was in the United States, ‘Counting Stars’ and ‘Burning Bridges’.  I would stop and stare at the concert of One Republic and have my shirt signed by Ryan Tedder. Some nights, I wish I was in Dublin, ‘singin’ our hearts out, standin’ on chairs, spendin’ our time like we were millionaires’. I’m pretty sure you know what I mean. Some nights, I wish I was in Prague, Venice, Australia, Istanbul and many other places.

Some nights, I want to pack my bag and just leave and just scratch one off my list. But, most nights, I’m just here. In my bed. So, help me God.

Heading South.

Are you looking for an instant travel?

Let’s fly to Tagaytay!

It is a must- see destination located in the province of Cavite. The cool climate because of its high altitude and the overlooking view of Taal Lake in Batangas are just two of the many reasons why it is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the Philippines.

The city of Tagaytay is just 55 kilometers away from Manila via Aguinaldo Highway. It is a very good idea if you want to escape the busy roads of the metro. You will surely enjoy the atmosphere and many tourist establishments that offer good food and services.

One of the newest main attractions in the city is the Sky Ranch. The amusement park is operated and managed by the SM Development Corporation. The Sky Eye (Tagaytay Eye) is the tallest ferris wheel in the country at 207 ft. with 32 gondolas.

You will be amazed by the 360 degree view of Tagaytay where you will see the picturesque Taal Lake, a lake with a volcano with another lake inside, and an island in the middle, which can also be seen in the latest music video of Katy Perry’s “Roar”.

What do you think? Try and visit Tagaytay now!

If you could be anywhere in the world today, where would you be?

Many of us dream to travel around the world.
St. Augustine once said, “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” Have you tried turning the pages of your book?

Wanderlust is the term coined to those who crave for travel. It originates from the German words wandern which means to hike and lust which means desire. When placed together, the word wanderlust, literally means the desire to hike. As defined in the dictionary, it is the strong and irresistible desire to travel the world.

I am odiethethiiird and I love taking photographs when I travel. I wish to see the whole world, meet different people and learn their culture.I believe that life begins at the end of our comfort zone because of the many adventures that await. We will never get anywhere if we don’t try unusual things because the best experience in life are low in cost and some are just free.

Don’t limit yourself, when the entire world is waiting to reveal its splendor. Don’t let your dreams be dreams. With passion and drive, you will realize that traveling is not just an escape from reality. It is about living and learning.Find doors to new experiences because you only live once. Just go and find some beautiful place to get lost. It’s time to add traveling the world to your bucket list because you can go your own way, anywhere.

Life is short. Too short for daydreams. Be brave and bold to open your eyes because there is beauty everywhere. Now go aboard and make your journey across the globe. Throw a dart at a map and travel to wherever it lands.

Ciao! In bocca al lupo!
